"Distant" is the the debut song by the new group DEATH BY GONG, featuring Jobst M. Feit (RADARE), Peter Voigtmann (SHRVL, HEADS., THE OCEAN), and Chris Breuer (HEADS., ZAHN).

Jobst shares his thoughts about the song:
"Distant" features many elements that could be described as representative of Death By Gong’s core sound. Basically the song sounds like a little bit like a composition from Low’s "Things We Lost In The Fire” era - with the difference that Torche act as the backing band. I always find this balance of vulnerability and heaviness inspiring. Like many other Death By Gong tracks, “Distant” went through several phases of transformation and initially took the form of a pure cello composition, of which more remains than one might expect.
